CSGRC

The Computer Science Graduate Representative Committee ( CSGRC, previously known as LABRep or LRComm) is the committee of representatives of graduate students from all the labs or research groups in the department. It lets the CSGS executive report to the CSGS members and ensures that the members can express their concerns to the executive. CSGRC meets each month during the academic year. At each meeting the executive will report on their activities, including reports from the Department Meeting and the Graduate Representative Council and take questions.

Each lab is entitled to send one or more representative to the committee.  Groups of 1-10 are permitted one representative, groups of 11-20 are permitted two, groups of 21-30 are permitted three reps, and groups larger than 30 are permitted to have four representatives on CSGRC.  Each lab is responsible for selecting their representatives. There is no set method for selecting representatives. Should any lab wish to conduct a formal election of a representative they may contact the Chief Returning Officer of CSGS to organize the election, but this is not compulsory. The Chief Returning Officer can also be consulted for any other selection process.
