Register for the 5th Annual CSGS Golf Tournament - August 3rd, 2010

The 5th annual CSGS golf tournament is scheduled for August 3rd, 2010.

You may not have been happy about the effects of the recent round of golf-ball sized hail, but this round of golf-ball sized golf balls promises to be more pleasurable. The tournament is a chance to spend an afternoon getting to know others in the department by means of a game of golf.

Whether you've never golfed before or you spend many an hour nearby a putting green, you're welcome to participate and we to make sure that regardless of your skill level you'll still have an enjoyable time. As usual, we will play best shot, so that each group shares a single score and no one will get left behind.

The non-refundable tournament entry fee is $25, which covers the greens fee, lunch, balls and tees. If you need to rent golf clubs, they are available from the golf course for a fee of $5, but we would like to know in advance how many rentals (left or right handed) are needed for our group.

The tournament starts at 1pm, and we will organize car pools to help get everyone there.

There are only 20 spots available so please contact us as soon as possible to confirm your spot. The last day to sign up is July 27, 2010.

If you're interested, please email us (csgs@cpsc.ucalgary.ca) as soon as possible and include the following information:

(a) Rentals - If you don't have golf clubs, do let us know so we know how many sets we need to reserve in advance

(b) Your experience level:
1. First Time Out: If this will be your first golfing experience
2. Novice: if you golf occasionally.
3. Intermediate: if you golf more than a few times a year.
4. Advanced: if you golf regularly or have figured out how to work golf into your research.

(c) If you need a ride to the golf course or if you are willing to provide rides for others in need of one.

Thanks!
